The Option/Plus Program was established by the National Association of Home Based Businesses (NAHBB) to identify local and national companies who provide high quality products and services to home based businesses. It is a comprehensive program that includes both discount savings and income opportunities. Within the Option/Plus Program there is a collective buying club called the "Option/Plus Discount Savings Club" the club bands home based business together in order to increase their purchasing power. Established home managed businesses are given an opportunity to secure an Option/Plus Discount Card, which can be used at participating businesses to make purchases at reduced prices. Enrolled companies are placed on special print and electronic lists that are made available to Option/Plus Discount Card holders. The Option/Plus Discount Card is distributed to member and non-member home based business owners. The Option/Plus Program also seeks supplemental income opportunities that can help subsidize new and existing home based businesses. Supplemental income opportunities are an excellent way to add residual and override incomes to a primary business venture. It can provide owners with extra income that can help stabilize a new business, and add an additional revenue stream to an existing business. These income opportunities allow home based business owners to earn residual and override income without altering or making major changes to the marketing of the primary business venture.
